14 July 2020 President Meta congratulates the Polish President, Andrzej Duda on his re-election
Honorable Mr. President,
Your re-election as President of the Republic of Poland gives me the exceptional pleasure to convey to You, on my behalf and that of the Albanian people, the warmest and most sincere congratulations on the continued successful fulfillment of Your commitments in leading Your country.
Allow me, as well, to congratulate the Polish people and the relevant institutions that in the process of electing the President of their country have successfully accomplished an important democratic event, therefore setting the example of a consolidated institutional culture and democracy.
I express my confidence that, during Your second term as President, the friendly relations and cooperation between our two countries and our people will be further developed and enriched. I am convinced that, thanks to our common will and shared European and Euro-Atlantic vision, we can give to these relations a new dynamic, in all possible directions.
Albania and the Albanians are deeply grateful to Poland for its strong support for Albania’s European integration process and for the continuation of the EU enlargement process with countries of the Western Balkans.
Your presence at the Brdo-Brijuni Summit, held in May 2019 in Tirana, as well as the messages You have conveyed during my visit to Warsaw, on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the outbreak of World War II, make me optimistic for a great future of relations between Poland and Albania.
Along with the best wishes for Your health and happiness, and the unstoppable progress of Poland, please Your Excellency, accept the assurances of my highest consideration.
Ilir Meta
