14 July 2020 President Meta congratulates President Macron about the National Holiday of France, the Bastille Day
Honorable Mr. President,
Please permit me to express, also on behalf of the Albanian people, the warmest and most sincere congratulations to You and to the friendly French people as well, on the occasion of the National Holiday of France, the Bastille Day.
The very good and traditional relations between our two countries and peoples have established a solid foundation of friendship and partnership for the future.
I am convinced that thanks to the joint willingness and efforts, the cooperation between France and Albania will be further strengthened in all areas.
I would like to seize this opportunity to express the deep gratitude on the great assistance that You and France are providing to Albania in the framework of our integration process into the European Union.
Your support and that of France, a friendly country, as well as the new enlargement methodology, represent the right encouragement and motivation for us to continue with determination the reforms that will enable the opening of our accession negotiations.
While re-iterating once again the best wishes to You, for the further development and progress of France, as well as my desire to welcome You to Albania at an suitable time, please accept Mr. President, the assurances of my highest consideration!
