President of the Republic, Sh.T.Z. Ilir Meta visited Cërrik, in the framework of the initiative “Blood Donation Alliance”, in cooperation with the Albanian Red Cross.
President Meta, with mayor Altin Toska, was present at the blood donation session by many young and new volunteers and the Shtërman weightlifting team.
“I am delighted to be in the Municipality of Cërrik! I thank the Mayor, Mr. Toska and all the citizens, especially the girls and women of this municipality, who are in charge of this blood donation solidarity, which is a continuous action in the function of guaranteeing blood for all children and affected by thalassemia. But also for all citizens who need blood.
This is a special session because Citizens of Cërriku dedicate themselves to Lushnja citizens, who need more than any other municipality in the country to donate blood “, – said President Meta.
“I would like to thank the team of the National Blood Transfusion Center, which works with dedication to meet a systematic calendar that guarantees the sustainability of blood donation throughout our country,” said the President of the Republic.
