16 September 2020 President Meta’s position on the delays and problems in the renewal and functioning of the Constitutional Court and the High Court
President of the Republic, H.E. Ilir Meta through letter no. 3115 prot, dated 15 September 2020, has forwarded to the Justice Appointments Council, the High Judicial Council, the Albanian Assembly and the Ombudsman, the official position “On delays and problems in the renewal and functioning of the Constitutional Court and the High Court “.
In this letter, President Meta has identified the problems, anomalies and unjustified delays, while requesting the implementation of the Constitution and the Law, as well as taking emergency measures to make the Constitutional Court and the High Court functional.
In respect of the principle of transparency that has always accompanied the activity of the Head of State, this position is published on the official website of the Institution.
